Our expectations

At Ideal Cars, we aim to provide a safe, reliable and professional service for all customers.

To achieve this, we ask all drivers to follow the standards below at all times.

These standards help ensure:

  • Smooth and efficient operations

⏰ Punctuality & Being Ready for Work

We expect all drivers to be ready for work when they go online.

This includes:

  • Logging into the Driver Companion on time
  • Ensuring your vehicle is ready before starting (fuel, cleanliness, etc.)
  • Being prepared to accept bookings promptly
  • Avoiding delays that may affect customer wait times

Where possible, drivers should be fully prepared before going online to reduce any disruption to service.

📱 Mobile Phone Use

Mobile phones must be used safely and responsibly.

While a passenger is in the vehicle:

  • Phone calls should not be made or answered
  • The app should only be used when safe and necessary
  • Attention must always remain on driving and passenger safety

Safety of passengers and road users is the top priority.

📻 Vehicle Environment (Radio & Conduct)

We expect all drivers to maintain a professional environment in the vehicle.

This includes:

  • No offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language
  • No inappropriate or explicit music content
  • Keeping volume at a reasonable level
  • Being respectful at all times

Customers should feel comfortable and safe during their journey.

🚗 Vehicle Cleanliness

All vehicles must be kept clean and presentable.

Drivers are expected to:

  • Keep the interior clean and tidy
  • Ensure no rubbish is left in the vehicle
  • Maintain a professional appearance of the vehicle exterior
  • Regularly clean and maintain the vehicle

A clean vehicle improves customer experience and reflects well on all drivers.

🤝 Customer Assistance

Drivers are expected to assist customers where needed.

This may include:

  • Helping elderly passengers in and out of the vehicle
  • Assisting with shopping bags or luggage
  • Providing extra care for passengers who need support
  • Ensuring passengers are comfortable and safe throughout the journey

If a passenger requires additional help, please assist where it is safe to do so.

All drivers are expected to behave professionally at all times.

This includes:

  • Being polite and respectful to customers
  • Remaining calm in difficult situations
  • Avoiding arguments or confrontation
  • Representing Ideal Cars in a positive way

Drivers should:

  • Follow booking instructions carefully
  • Use the Driver Companion correctly
  • Avoid rejecting jobs without valid reason where possible
  • Keep communication with the office clear and respectful

This helps ensure jobs are allocated fairly and efficiently.
